Ten years ago, I left a career in law. I studied for and entered the legal profession because that was what I wanted; I wanted to help people. There came a time when I was doing it solely because that was the path I was on. It didn’t seem realistic or even an option to change direction. Then coaching changed my life.
After leaving the legal profession to start a business in what I truly love, I found myself taking every opportunity to share with others what I’d learned from my journey, so that they could visualise their own.
Having had, and still have, world class coaches over the years, I found myself coaching people, more and more often. I never called it coaching, as I didn’t call myself a coach. Then someone told me he wanted me to coach him. He told me that I had been shadowing my coach. And then someone else wanted me to coach him. I was absolutely loving coaching others and wanted to do more of it. So I trained and became certified as a coach.
I had gone full circle and was now helping people again, but this time in a much more powerful and profound way.
That is how I accidentally became a coach.
A word from my mentor and trainer, John Durkin, Unless Coaching:
“It has been a privilege to mentor Omar over the past three years. Now a Master Coach and advanced practitioner, Omar has continually refined his skills through extensive self-work and, like any great master, is pursuing a limitless polishing of his abilities. His natural integrity, strong character, and deep commitment to personal growth enable him to guide clients in profound and transformative ways. Omar is a remarkable human being — his keen presence and awareness create a powerful space for clients to explore and unlearn limiting stories, unlocking their innate wisdom and potential. His unique blend of insight, empathy, and service engages clients in diving deeply into their personal development, making him an invaluable partner in their journey of transformation.”
